People Power Party Leader Jang Dong-hyuk criticized the Oct 15 real estate measures on the 20th, stating, "These measures, which lack any real solutions, have thrown the entire nation into a state of panic."

Speaking at a Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Jang described the measures as "real estate terrorism in a nutshell."

He asserted, "Half-baked measures stemming from a distorted view of real estate are repeating the dark history of the Moon Jae-in administration and foreshadowing a great failure. Policies that divide the haves and have-nots, and anti-market policies that obstruct private sector supply, can never succeed."

He continued, "All that is left now is a tax bomb. The downfall of the Moon Jae-in administration began with a tax bomb on real estate. If the reckless Lee Jae-myung administration copies even the tax bomb policies of the Moon Jae-in administration, the outcome is obvious."

He added, "The price for betraying the market is the downfall of the administration. The socialist economic experiment of the 586 generation will exact a harsh price."

Regarding the allegations of stock insider trading against Special Prosecutor Min Jung-ki, Jang stated, "To prevent the downfall of this administration, the Min Jung-ki Special Prosecutor's Office must be dissolved immediately, and a special investigation must be launched into the Min Jung-ki Special Prosecutor's Office."

He raised his voice, saying, "Special Prosecutor Min is getting rich by sucking the tears of ordinary investors. I urge him to step down from his special prosecutor role immediately. He belongs in the defendant's seat." Yonhap News
