(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Dong-chan = The Yooone Golf Foundation and Seoul National University Sports Industry Research Center announced on the 23rd that they have published the "2024 Korea Golf Industry White Paper" to inform about domestic golf industry trends and present future strategies.
The Korea Golf Industry White Paper, published every two years since 2016, analyzed the market size and value of all golf-related industries, including field golf, screen golf, tournaments, equipment, facilities, and distribution, focusing on domestic golf market data from 2022 to 2023.
According to the report, the size of the Korean golf market as of 2023 was surveyed to be 22 trillion 433 billion won, and the number of golfers exceeded 7 million.
Kim Young-chan, Chairman of the Yooone Golf Foundation, said, "This white paper not only reflects the increase or decrease in market size but also broadly incorporates changes in consumer behavior and diversification of the industry structure," adding, "We will continue to make various efforts for the sustainable development of the domestic golf industry."
