Krafton [259960] has announced its transformation into an 'AI First' company and will invest 100 billion won in building a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) cluster.
Krafton unveiled this mid-to-long-term vision and roadmap to its employees during its internal communication program, Krafton Live Talk (KLT), on the 23rd.
"Starting today, Krafton will fully implement an AI-centric management system, focusing on automating tasks with Agentic AI, allowing employees to concentrate on creative activities and complex problem-solving," said Changhan Kim, CEO of Krafton. "We will leap forward as a company that fosters employee growth through AI and expands the organization's challenging domains."
'AI First' is a strategy that promotes change for individuals and organizations by making AI the central and primary means of problem-solving, thereby increasing productivity and accelerating corporate value growth in the mid-to-long term.
Krafton plans to secure future growth engines by expanding individual roles and organizational challenges through Agentic AI, which automates tasks.
To support its 'AI First' strategy, Krafton will invest approximately 100 billion won to build a GPU cluster, which will be used to automate AI workflows, enhance AI research and development (R&D), and strengthen in-game AI services.
Specifically, by the second half of 2026, Krafton aims to complete the foundation for AI platform and data integration/automation, establishing a company-wide AI operational infrastructure.
Furthermore, starting next year, an annual budget of approximately 30 billion won will be allocated to actively support employees in utilizing and applying various AI tools in their work.
In addition, to internalize 'AI First' across the entire organization, the company will newly establish organizational structures, including HR, and collaborative environments. Employees will be supported to proactively lead larger-scale goals and achievements.
The R&D organization, comprised of AI specialists, will adopt a separate personnel management system aligned with the direction of strengthening expertise.
Moreover, the time and resources gained through AI adoption will be reinvested in new game development and innovative projects, creating a virtuous cycle of AI utilization capabilities and creative challenges.
