The White House Counsel's office has launched an investigation into whether President Joe Biden's White House misused the presidential autopen to sign pardons, executive orders, and other actions, which may have occurred without the former president's knowledge.

Newsmax reported that the investigation was launched within Trump's White House, citing sources. Spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre also released a statement saying, "The administration is working to find answers."

"Joe Biden has been the most incompetent and decrepit president in our country's history," Jean-Pierre said in a statement to Newsmax. "There are widespread reports that Joe Biden has allowed unelected left-wing staffers to control the power of the presidency through an autopen, leading to terrible decisions that are destroying our country."

"The Trump White House is committed to finding answers to the many unresolved questions that the American people still have regarding the way the Biden White House conducted its business," Jean-Pierre added.

President Donald Trump told reporters during a state visit to the Oval Office on Wednesday, "Some lunatic around the desk had policy, whoever had that pen, they had policy, and anyway, I think it's the biggest scandal. The scandal they should be talking about is not Jeffrey Epstein, it's that."

"The scandal you should be talking about is the autopen," he added.

The investigation, according to reports, will include a review of tens of thousands of documents that have been turned over to the National Archives.

As first reported by The New York Times (NYT) earlier this week, the documents may provide direct evidence of whether Biden was aware of actions signed by the autopen.

Newsmax pointed out that Biden may have given a blanket statement to senior officials who signed with the autopen on his behalf, absolving them of any conspiracy to cover it up.

"I made all those decisions consciously. I made all the decisions," Biden told the Times.
