Former National Assembly member Jeon Yeo-ok said that lawyers Lee Hah-sang and Kwon Woo-hyun, who were in the process of detention procedures at Seoul Detention Center, were released due to an unreasonable detention order issued by Judge Lee Jin-kwan, who is embroiled in controversy as a "political judge." 

On the evening of November 19, Jeon Yeo-ok announced the unexpected news through her personal YouTube channel, saying, "I wonder if this is a dream or reality. I just received a call from lawyer Lee Hah-sang." 

She continued, "I thought, 'But surely his phone would have been confiscated,' and then lawyer Lee said in an excited voice, 'I've just been released.'" "So I was so surprised and said, 'Really?' and he replied, 'A miracle happened.'" she relayed. 

She then added, "I will hear more detailed stories later, but for now, the Seoul Detention Center has determined that they cannot be detained in this case," and reiterated, "It's not that Judge Lee Jin-kwan canceled the detention order; rather, the Seoul Detention Center stated that they cannot detain lawyers Lee Hah-sang and Kwon Woo-hyun," she emphasized again. 

Jeon, the former assembly member, delivered the news of the release of lawyers Lee Hah-sang and Kwon Woo-hyun, saying, "This is our victory, thanks to your worries, anger, rage, and refusal to stand idly by. "Lee Jin-kwan, you've got nothing left now." 

According to domestic media reports, lawyer Lee and others refused to answer the judge's questions about their personal information during the detention trial. 

The Seoul Detention Center refused to accept them, stating that their personal information could not be identified, and the judge, deeming execution difficult, suspended the execution order related to the detention trial and ordered their release.

Lawyer Lee, a former prosecutor who is defending former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, is a star lawyer who has gained significant support from ordinary citizens with his clean presentation, which skillfully exposes the falsehoods and contradictions of the left-wing on the YouTube channel 'Go-Forward Lawyer.'

Han Duck-soo Trial Court embroiled in controversy over 'detention decision' for Kim Yong-hyun's lawyers Lee Hah-sang and Kwon Woo-hyun

The court presiding over the trial of former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo is causing controversy by issuing a detention decision for lawyers Lee Hah-sang and Kwon Woo-hyun, who represent former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, who was summoned as a witness. 

The Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Agreement Division 33 (Presiding Judge Lee Jin-kwan) held a detention trial on the 19th for lawyers Lee and Kwon, who entered the courtroom with former Minister Kim during the trial for charges including aiding and abetting rebellion by former Prime Minister Han, and issued a detention decision for violating courtroom order. 

Accordingly, lawyers Lee and Kwon are scheduled to be detained at the Seoul Detention Center for the next 15 days.

The defense team strongly protested in an emergency statement, vowing to take civil and criminal action against Judge Lee, who committed an illegal abuse of authority, to ensure the guarantee of their right to defense and the restoration of their violated right to defense.

However, the court requested lawyer Lee to leave, stating that he did not meet the criteria for accompanying based on a trusted relationship. When lawyer Lee did not comply, the court ordered his detention and had court officials remove lawyer Lee from the courtroom. 

After the witness examination of former Minister Kim was completed, the court briefly recessed and held a detention trial for lawyer Lee. 

In response, the defense team for former Minister Kim strongly protested in an emergency statement, vowing to take civil and criminal action against Judge Lee, who committed an illegal abuse of authority, to ensure the guarantee of their right to defense and the restoration of their violated right to defense. 

In a statement released that afternoon, Kwak Gyu-taek, chief deputy spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated, "This is an abuse of judicial power that labels a legitimate objection as a 'disruption of courtroom order.'" "We urge the judiciary to take appropriate measures to prevent the recurrence of such abuses of detention orders that undermine the fairness of trials and procedural justice."
