Kim Ha-seong (29), playing for the Tampa Bay Rays in Major League Baseball (MLB), paved the way for a comeback victory with a multi-hit performance.

Kim Ha-seong started as the 8th batter and shortstop in the home game against the Baltimore Orioles on July 20 (Korean time) at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. He had 2 hits in 3 at-bats, along with one stolen base and one run scored.

Kim Ha-seong's season batting average rose to .250 (7 hits in 28 at-bats).

After a three-game hitless streak, Kim Ha-seong signaled a comeback with his multi-hit performance.

Thanks to Kim Ha-seong laying the groundwork for the comeback, the Rays won the game 4-3.

In his first at-bat in the 3rd inning, Kim Ha-seong led off and hit a single to center field against the opposing starter, Dean Kremer.

However, during the following batter Matt Thais' at-bat, a hit-and-run attempt was made, but Thais' batted ball went directly to the first baseman, resulting in Kim Ha-seong being tagged out before he could return to the base.

Kim Ha-seong, who left the field with disappointment after a fly out to left field in his second at-bat in the 5th inning, came to bat again as the leadoff hitter in the 8th inning when his team was trailing 1-2.

He reached base with a single to right field, creating an opportunity, and boldly stole his second base of the season.

Kim Ha-seong advanced to third base on Thais' fly ball to the outfield and scored to tie the game at 2-2 on Chandler Simpson's hit.

Subsequently, with the bases loaded and one out, the Rays took a 4-2 lead when two runners scored on a wild throw from the opposing first baseman on a ground ball hit by Yandy Aranda.

The Rays allowed one run in the 9th inning but held on for the win.

Meanwhile, Lee Jung-hoo (26) of the San Francisco Giants remained silent with no hits in 3 at-bats in the away game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Lee Jung-hoo, who played as the 7th batter and center fielder, saw his season batting average drop to .247 (87 hits in 352 at-bats).

The Giants, with ace Logan Webb starting, lost the game 3-6 after a comeback and fell into a four-game losing streak.

Los Angeles Dodgers' Kim Hye-seong (26) also had a hitless game.

Kim Hye-seong started as the 8th batter and second baseman in the game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California, and went 0-for-4.

Kim Hye-seong's season batting average dropped to .331 (39 hits in 118 at-bats).

Shohei Ohtani hit his 33rd home run of the season, a two-run shot in the 3rd inning, but the Dodgers lost to Milwaukee 7-8, extending their losing streak to two games.
