A survey has revealed that the approval rating of Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's cabinet in Japan remains high without significant changes, even after the Sino-Japanese conflict.

According to a report by The Mainichi Shimbun, a survey conducted on 1,985 individuals from November 22-23 found that 65% of respondents supported the Takaichi cabinet.

This level is the same as the 65% recorded in the newspaper's October survey, conducted from October 25-25, before Prime Minister Takaichi suggested in parliamentary responses that Japan could exercise collective self-defense in the event of a Taiwan contingency.

The disapproval rate of "do not support" was 23%, showing no significant difference from the October figure of 22%.

In this survey, 50% of respondents stated they "do not think there is a problem" with Prime Minister Takaichi's parliamentary response related to Taiwan, while only 25% evaluated it as "problematic."

Regarding the summit meeting between then-visiting U.S. President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Takaichi last month, the approval rate of "positively evaluate" (64%) was overwhelmingly higher than "do not evaluate" (15%).

Party support ratings were in the order of the Liberal Democratic Party (25%), Constitutional Democratic Party (9%), Democratic Party for the People (6%), Nippon Ishin no Kai (6%), Sanseitō (5%), Komeito (3%), and the Communist Party (3%). Additionally, 39% of respondents replied that they "do not have a political party to support."
