CEO Jeon Han-gil speaks about exchanging letters with President Yoon Suk-yeol on the YouTube channel 'Jeon Han-gil News'. 2025.11.29. [Capture from Jeon Han-gil News YouTube Channel]
Jeon Han-gil News revealed on the 28th (Korean time) that President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is currently detained at Seoul Detention Center, sent a letter to CEO Jeon Han-gil and released its contents.
In a letter delivered through his legal team, President Yoon stated to CEO Jeon Han-gil, "You are a precious gift that God has sent to the Republic of Korea," and added, "I constantly pray to God every morning and evening to protect your safety and health."
CEO Jeon is currently traveling abroad, lecturing to Korean communities and running 'Jeon Han-gil News' through YouTube.
President Yoon stated, "I believe that entrusting everything to God and finding peace and joy through righteous activities is how we reveal God's glory," and despite being in prison, "I am doing my best in what I need to do."
In his letter, he conveyed regards to lawyer Gordon Chang, former Ambassador-at-Large for International Criminal Justice Morris Tang, and AFPI Vice Chairman Fred Fleitz, asking them to pass on his greetings. These individuals have been advocating the claim in the United States that the Lee Jae-myung administration is an illegitimate regime that usurped power through fraudulent elections.
Furthermore, President Yoon also stated that he "prays to the Lord every morning and evening" for Pastor Son Hyun-bo. Pastor Son was indicted by the prosecution on charges including violations of the Public Official Election Act and the Local Education Autonomy Act, and has been imprisoned since his arrest on September 24th.
At the 'Summit to End Christian Persecution' hosted by CPAC in Washington D.C. on October 30th, Pastor Son's case of imprisonment was presented to the international community as a representative example of religious oppression and persecution of Christians in South Korea.
President Yoon, who is known to spend a significant amount of time reading the Bible and praying while in prison, wrote in his letter, "I firmly believe and pray that God will never abandon this nation and will bring about freedom, peace, the Gospel, and unification."
Below is the full text of President Yoon's letter from prison to CEO Jeon Han-gil:
11.26. Remarks from President Yoon Suk-yeol during a meeting at Seoul Detention Center.
I have received CEO Jeon Han-gil's letter well. I believe CEO Jeon is a precious gift that God has sent to the Republic of Korea. Therefore, I constantly pray to God every morning and evening to protect your safety and health.
I know that your overseas activities must be difficult. However, I believe in God's work, and I believe that entrusting everything to God and finding peace and joy through righteous activities is how we reveal God's glory. I too am in prison, but I am doing my best in what I need to do.
I firmly believe and pray that God will never abandon this nation and will bring about freedom, peace, the Gospel, and unification. Though this time we are all experiencing may seem like hardship, it is said that "It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes." This is a time permitted by God's providence. Therefore, even in this confined space, I live with gratitude to God and do not cease to pray. I am deeply grateful to CEO Jeon Han-gil and the citizens who always pray for me.
Please convey my gratitude and regards to those who are with me in the United States, including Gordon Chang, Morris Tang, and Fred Fleitz. I would be grateful if you could also let them know that I pray to the Lord every morning and evening for Pastor Son Hyun-bo. Citizens, be strong and always stay healthy. I earnestly pray to God for the Republic of Korea, for your health and peace.
"It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes." (Psalm 119:71)
2025.11.26. Sincerely, Yoon Suk-yeol
