Gabbard accuses "Obama orchestrating coup against Trump"

The Department of Justice confirmed on Monday that it has received a criminal complaint filed by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
The complaint alleges that former President Barack Hussein Obama and his national security team laid the "years-long foundation" for a "coup" against President Donald Trump following the 2016 election.
Trump defeated Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in that election.
Gabbard announced on Friday that she would present "overwhelming evidence" to the Justice Department regarding the allegations against President Obama and his national security team.
"The information that I am releasing today clearly demonstrates that the highest levels of our government committed a treasonous conspiracy in 2016," she said, releasing a highly redacted declassified report.
She added that the purpose of this conspiracy was to "take away the mandate that the American voters gave to the president."
Appearing on Fox News on Sunday, Gabbard called it "truly unbelievable" that special counsels Robert Mueller and John Durham did not shed light on evidence of a "years-long coup" during Trump's first term.
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) criticized on Monday via social media that former FBI Director James Comey refused to prosecute Hillary Clinton for her improper email use but subsequently pursued an investigation into the Steele Dossier, which has since been discredited.
Comey publicly stated that Clinton mishandled classified information but did not recommend prosecution. Around the same time, the FBI launched Operation Crossfire Hurricane to investigate allegations that then-presidential candidate Trump colluded with Russia to interfere in the election.
The declassified report released by Gabbard reveals that in the months leading up to the November 2016 election, intelligence agencies assessed that Russia "was unlikely to have attempted to influence the election using cyber means," but changed their stance after Trump's victory.
According to the report, on December 9, 2016, the Obama administration convened key figures from the National Security Council (NSC), including Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, to discuss the Russia issue.
Clapper's chief of staff emailed the heads of intelligence agencies, directing them to prepare a new assessment detailing "the tools and actions Moscow used to influence the 2016 election" "at the president’s direction."
Gabbard also alleged that Obama administration officials leaked false statements to The Washington Post claiming that "Russia had interfered or actively sought to influence the election outcome through cyber means."
