The military prosecution has submitted an opinion to the military court urging the prompt issuance of an additional arrest warrant for former Intelligence Commander Moon Sang-ho, the Ministry of National Defense announced on the 24th.

Jeong Bit-na, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, said at a regular briefing that day, "As the detention period for former Intelligence Commander Major General Moon Sang-ho is set to expire on January 4th of next year, the military prosecution resubmitted the opinion yesterday, following the submission on the 16th."

It is understood that the military prosecution is concerned that if an additional arrest warrant is not issued, former Commander Moon may be released on January 4th of next year, which could disrupt the prosecution of the case.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Defense recently held a disciplinary committee for eight generals, including former Commander Moon, related to the December 3rd state of emergency martial law, and is expected to announce the results soon.

In addition, the MND Investigation Agency is scheduled to transfer the investigation results of the psychological warfare unit regarding North Korean leaflet scattering to the MND Special Investigation Headquarters today.
