U.S. President Donald Trump pledged on the 10th (local time) that the United States "stands ready to help" as Iranian protesters face severe crackdowns from the Islamic Republic's leadership.
President Trump emphasized this in a post on Truth Social that day, stating, "Iran is perhaps longing for freedom more than ever before," without offering specific details, according to Newsmax.
This comes just one day after he reiterated his authority to order military strikes against Iran.
The U.S. administration has been engaged in preliminary discussions about potential military strikes against Iran, and in response, the Iranian military announced on the 10th that it would cooperate with police and paramilitary forces to suppress the protesters.
Sources indicate that within the Trump administration, discussions have taken place regarding how an attack on Iran might unfold if President Trump follows through on his threats of intervention.
In relation to this, the left-leaning newspaper The New York Times (NYT) reported that President Trump has been briefed on multiple new military strike options in recent days.
The NYT added that it cited multiple well-informed officials, reporting that President Trump is seriously considering authorizing strikes in response to the Iranian regime's excessive crackdown.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) also stated that the Trump administration has been engaged in preliminary discussions regarding options for an attack on Iran.
It is understood that President Trump has not yet made a final decision.
Meanwhile, exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi is calling for nationwide strikes and more organized street protests, characterizing these demonstrations as a direct challenge to the Iranian clerical leadership.
He also urged for protests to expand beyond nighttime demonstrations into larger-scale actions.
Pahlavi specifically mentioned timing and symbolic significance, demanding that his supporters take to the streets again over the weekend.
He adopted a strong stance, stating, "Our goal is no longer simply to take to the streets, but to prepare to seize and hold the centers of our cities."
