The Central Ethics Committee of the People Power Party announced on the 14th, around 1 AM past midnight, that it had finalized the disciplinary action against former leader Han as "expulsion." Expulsion is the most severe disciplinary measure defined in the party rules, stripping an individual of their party membership.

In its decision statement, the Ethics Committee stated, "The disciplined party member, Han Dong-hoon, violated party constitution, regulations, and Article 20 of the Ethics Regulations, thereby hindering the party's development and causing public discontent."

Regarding the controversial allegations involving his family, the committee stated, "As former leader Han himself publicly admitted late that his family members had posted articles, the fact of their authorship is confirmed." It further asserted, "The act of intensively posting articles while sharing a specific IP address goes beyond ordinary expression of opinion, constituting obstruction of business and manipulation of public discourse."

Although the disciplinary action against Han Dong-hoon was only taken early this morning, the disciplinary process was initiated in November 2024 when the YouTube channel Lee Byung-joon TV uploaded a video alleging that leader Han Dong-hoon was criticizing President Yoon Suk-yeol and the People Power Party through the party member bulletin board.

The video at the time contained a statement such as, "The strongest thing written by leader Han Dong-hoon is that First Lady Kim should be leashed and confined." It also included content stating that the "dog leash" metaphor was later removed as it seemed too problematic.

Furthermore, the video claimed, "The party leader was engaged in daily comment manipulation using his family's IDs," "Han Dong-hoon posted an article on the party member bulletin board around May titled 'Yoon Suk-yeol Leaves Party,' which was then reported by media outlets to manipulate public opinion," "There are suspicions that a comment team operated by Han Dong-hoon was involved," and "It is true that Han Dong-hoon himself posted on the party member bulletin board. He stopped posting during his time as interim leader and resumed after the general elections."

Subsequently, various media outlets covered this issue. Lee Shin-woo, former editorial writer for Munhwa Ilbo, wrote in his book 'Fraudulent Elections and Traitors' (published August 2025), "Han Dong-hoon mobilized not only his immediate family but also his paternal and maternal relatives to criticize President Yoon and his wife on the People Power Party's member bulletin board, while promoting himself."

As a result, the Ethics Committee's decision has confirmed the claims made by right-wing YouTubers and commentators regarding: △Han Dong-hoon's use of family member IDs, and △suspicions of public opinion manipulation through a comment team.

The Ethics Committee strongly criticized, "If the 'Han Dong-hoon dangge suspicion incident' is not severely punished, slander and defamation under the guise of anonymity will proliferate." It added, "The conduct displayed by Han Dong-hoon's side during the Ethics Committee's formation process, showing no signs of remorse, is comparable to mafias or terrorist organizations threatening a court."

In response to Han Dong-hoon's side raising the issue of "retaliation for supporting impeachment," Park Min-young, the media spokesperson, strongly countered, "We do not call Druking 'democracy'."
