The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced that it will expand and reorganize the Jeju tourism online marketplace 'Tamnao' in conjunction with the Jeju Tourism Association.

Tamnao recorded a sales volume of 10.6 billion won last year, achieving its highest performance since its launch in 2016.

It has secured a cumulative membership of 357,000 users and shown steady growth with over 90,000 annual sales and 10,000 cumulative user reviews. Based on its low commission structure, it is establishing itself as an online sales channel for local tourism businesses.

This achievement is the result of actively promoting marketing activities encompassing both online and offline channels, including discount promotions through Jeju Travel Week and pop-up stores in major cities, as well as SNS promotions.

Furthermore, by strengthening external service integration and optimizing the platform for mobile environments with improved screen composition and user convenience, a stable operational foundation has been established.

Based on this, Jeju Province will expand Tamnao's sales categories this year.

In response to rapidly changing travel trends, in addition to the existing 9 sales categories of △flights △ships △accommodation △rental cars △tourist attractions/leisure △specialty products/souvenirs △experiences △restaurants △travel agencies, 'performances' and 'golf' products will be newly introduced. In July, a special section for agricultural and specialty products will be established to promote regional economic vitalization by linking the primary industry with tourism.

In addition, the accommodation discount coupon support program and the worker vacation support program (Vacation Shop) will be linked with Tamnao. The plan is to encourage tourists receiving government support to book their Jeju trips through Tamnao, leading to increased sales for local tourism businesses.

In parallel, to enhance the competitiveness of small-scale tourism businesses, customized marketing such as live commerce operations, online content creation, and discount coupons, as well as support for product development and new merchant acquisition, will be provided.

Kim Yang-bo, Director of Jeju Province's Tourism Exchange Bureau, said, "Last year, Tamnao confirmed its role as a public platform and its growth potential through expanded sales performance and increased users," and added, "This year, we will focus on supporting local small tourism businesses in securing online sales channels through product expansion and linking with government projects."
