Ahead of the first-instance ruling, the convoy vehicle carrying President Yoon Suk Yeol has arrived at the Seoul Central District Court.

 

The Ministry of Justice convoy carrying President Yoon departed from the Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, at approximately 12:30 p.m. on the 19th and arrived at the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul, at 12:50 p.m.

 

President Yoon will wait in the court detention facility until the sentencing hearing begins at 3:00 p.m.

 

Sentences for seven military and police commanders, including former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun and former Commissioner General of the Korean National Police Agency Cho Ji-ho, are also expected to be delivered today.

Ahead of the ruling, conservative groups are holding rallies in various locations, shouting for the "acquittal of Yoon Suk Yeol" and emphasizing that "the primary authority for declaring martial law is the ultimate discretion granted to the President by the Constitution." Conservative organizations, including Hwarangdan Representative Cha Gang-seok, are currently conducting a hunger strike near the Seoul Central District Court to demand the "acquittal of Yoon Suk Yeol."
