The White House on Tuesday (local time) reiterated President Donald Trump's remarks from earlier in the week that it would not rule out the possibility of deploying U.S. ground troops to Iran, but stressed that such a measure is not currently part of the "Epic Fury" operation plan.

"Of course, it is not included in this operation plan at this time, but we will never rule out military options on behalf of the President of the United States and commander-in-chief," said Caroline Levitt, White House spokeswoman.

"And he wisely does not do the same for himself," she added. "We know that in the past there have been many leaders who ruled out options without fully understanding how the situation would unfold."

Levitt emphasized, "Again, it is not included in the current plan, but we will not rule out one of the options that the President may consider."

On the 2nd, President Trump stated that he would not definitively promise not to deploy ground troops. He said this while emphasizing the success of the joint U.S.-Israel military operation against Iran's Islamic Republic's political leadership and military infrastructure, which began last Saturday.

President Trump added, "Just as every president says 'no ground troops will be deployed,' I am not afraid to deploy ground troops. I do not say that. I say 'probably not needed' or 'if needed.'"

President Trump had stated that the war was expected to last "about four" but suggested on Monday that the duration could be shortened given the rapid progress of the operations.

CENTCOM stated that the air forces of the United States and Israel "have gained air superiority over Iran, the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism" and "are continuing to conduct large-scale airstrikes."

According to a fact check released by CENTCOM via social media, U.S. forces have expanded their airstrike range deep into Iranian airspace, and have destroyed more than 20 Iranian regime vessels with overwhelming firepower from the air, land, and sea.

In addition, the U.S. military stated that it had reduced the number of Iranian regime drone launches by 73% and ballistic missile launches by 86% over four days.
