The People Power Party held an emergency general meeting of lawmakers on the 9th to discuss the party's direction and adopted a resolution containing, among other things, opposition to "Yoon Again."

In a resolution signed by all party lawmakers, the People Power Party stated, "We once again apologize with sincere regret to the people for the great confusion and disappointment caused by the erroneous declaration of martial law on December 3rd."

It further rejected the so-called "Yoon Again" argument, declaring, "We explicitly oppose all claims demanding the political return of former President Yoon Suk-yeol." This appears to reflect the voices within the party calling for a "severance" from former President Yoon.

The party declared, "Neither the Republic of Korea nor the People Power Party can ever go back to the past. The People Power Party will move forward resolutely with the people, with a mindset of rebirth."

In addition, they stated, "We will cease all actions and statements that amplify conflict among party members and engage in great unity. We will cut off any words and deeds that disrupt the party's formation and tie the party to past frameworks."

The resolution was read aloud by floor leader Song Eon-seok on behalf of the attendees, with all lawmakers present, including party leader Jang Dong-hyuk, standing.

The resolution was announced in the name of 'All Lawmakers of the People Power Party'.
