Iran continues to launch missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and neighboring Gulf countries, even after its key oil export port on Khark Island was attacked by the United States.
According to foreign media, including the Associated Press, on the 15th (local time), air raid sirens sounded multiple times in central Israel and Tel Aviv.
In Tel Aviv alone, small fires broke out at 23 locations due to the attacks, and two people were injured, local rescue officials reported.
In central Israel, missile fragments fell on a residential building used by the U.S. consulate, and two people sustained minor injuries, it was reported.
The Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, jointly used by the Italian and U.S. militaries, was also attacked by drones on the same day, the Italian military announced. The Italian military stated that there were no casualties in this attack.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain informed their residents on the same day that they were intercepting incoming projectiles aimed at their countries.
The UAE stated it was attacked by four ballistic missiles and six drones from Iran on the same day, but did not disclose the extent of the damage. The port of Fujairah in the UAE had its loading operations suspended the previous day due to an Iranian attack.
Earlier, Iran had warned that it would strike key ports and docks in the UAE, as well as hidden U.S. missile launch sites throughout its cities, claiming that the U.S. was using UAE ports and docks for attacks on Khark Island.
The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced that 10 drones were intercepted in the capital Riyadh and the eastern region.
Bahrain, home to the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet Command, stated that since the start of the Iran conflict, its air defense systems have intercepted 125 missiles and 211 drones from Iran.
Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), which operates the second-largest aluminum smelter after China, announced it would reduce production by approximately 20% due to export difficulties caused by the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Alba had previously declared "force majeure" on some customer supply contracts and suspended shipments due to disruptions passing through the Strait of Hormuz last week, but this is the first time it has announced a reduction in production.
The Associated Press expressed concern that even if the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is lifted, international aluminum supply might not return to normal once production is reduced.
Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on the social media platform Truth Social on the 13th that U.S. forces had attacked Khark Island, where Iran's key oil export port is located, and completely destroyed its military facilities.
President Trump stated that Khark Island was "completely destroyed" and hinted at further attacks, saying, "We can strike a few more times for fun."
