  • Former South Korean Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn introduced as a keynote speaker
  • May 25-28, held at the Gaylord Texan Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas

The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), boasting the longest history and largest scale among conservative conferences in the United States, will be held from Wednesday, the 25th to Saturday, the 28th, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.

This year's event, marking its 52nd annual conference, notably features Hwang Kyo-ahn, the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, as a speaker, drawing significant attention. Among Korean figures participating in this year's event, besides former Prime Minister Hwang, Pastor Che An has been confirmed as a speaker for the 'CPAC International Faith Summit'. Pastor An is currently running for Governor of California.

Previously, Korean figures who have spoken on the main stage at CPAC conferences include former National Assembly member Min Kyung-wook in 2021 and former International Criminal Court Ambassador Mose Tang in 2025.

CPAC headquarters introduced former Prime Minister Hwang by stating, "As Minister of Justice, he led the historic measure to dissolve the pro-North Korean leaning Unified Progressive Party, and subsequently served as the leader of the conservative Liberty Korea Party, building a broad legal and political career." They added, "Hwang Kyo-ahn is currently active as a key figure in the Korean conservative movement, focusing on national security, constitutional defense, and rooting out government corruption."

Among the prominent speakers confirmed for the main stage at this year's CPAC conference are: former British Prime Minister Liz Truss; Secretary of Education Linda McMahon; Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Scott Turner; Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr; Director of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Mehmet Oz; U.S. Representative Keith Self (R-Texas); U.S. Representative Mike Collins (R-Georgia); U.S. Representative Brandon Gill (R-Texas); U.S. Representative Kevin Hern (R-Oklahoma); Special Envoy Richard Grenell; Attorney Gordon Chang; Steve Bannon; former U.S. Representative Matt Gaetz; and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

President Donald Trump, who has spoken at the CPAC event every year on the afternoon of the last Saturday, is reportedly unlikely to attend this year. However, there have been instances in the past where he was expected to be absent but made a surprise appearance, making his participation uncertain until the very end.

The CPAC annual conference has established itself as a core event for the conservative movement. Elected conservative officials, world leaders, and influential figures gather to deliver speeches and engage in discussions that encourage and inspire each other throughout the three days.

This year, key issues expected to be addressed include international relations, particularly the ongoing conflict in Iran, the issue of religious freedom, considered a cornerstone of conservatism, and immigration issues, including the deportation of undocumented immigrants.
