On the 7th (local time), one day before the final deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump, transportation infrastructure such as bridges and railways across Iran began to be targeted by airstrikes, local media reported.

Iran's Mehr News Agency quoted a deputy governor of Isfahan province as saying, "The U.S. and Zionists (Israel) attacked the Yahyabad railway bridge in the Kashan region," adding that "two civilians were martyred and three were injured in this attack."

In East Azerbaijan province in northwestern Iran, projectiles fell on the Tabriz-Tehran highway at a point 90 km north of the provincial capital, Tabriz, suspending traffic in both directions. This highway is a key transportation infrastructure in northern Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran stated that a flyover on this highway was bombed.

Local media also reported that a bridge on the outskirts of Qom in central Iran, a railway in Ghazvin in the north, and a railway in Karaj west of Tehran were bombed. These cities are major cities with frequent travel to and from the capital, Tehran.

In Karaj and the nearby city of Pardis, power transmission lines were hit by airstrikes, causing some power outages.

In response to the U.S. warning of infrastructure airstrikes, Mashhad, the second-largest city in northeastern Iran, suspended all railway operations.
