President Trump stated in an interview with the New York Post that U.S. naval ships are being resupplied with "the best munitions" to resume attacks on Iran if peace talks in Pakistan break down.
He made these remarks shortly after Vice President JD Vance boarded Air Force Two en route to Islamabad, where a ceasefire negotiation with Iran is scheduled to take place.
When asked if he anticipated the talks to be successful, President Trump responded, "We'll know in about 24 hours. We'll know soon."
"We are rearming. We are loading ships with the best munitions and the best weapons we've ever had, far better than before, and completely destroyed the old ships," he said.
President Trump added, "But we're loading up with weapons. We're loading up with the best weapons we've ever had, far better than before, and we're ready to completely annihilate them. If there isn't a deal, we will be using those means, and we will be using them very effectively."
In his interview with the New York Post, he stated, "We are dealing with people who we don't know if they're telling the truth or not. They say on the outside, 'We want to get rid of all the nuclear weapons, we want to clean everything up.' Then they go to the press and say, 'No, we want enrichment.' We'll see."
Following this interview, President Trump posted a short sentence on Truth Social: "WORLD'S MOST POWERFUL RESET!"
About an hour later, President Trump wrote on Truth Social, "Palantir Technologies (PLTR) has proven to have superior combat capabilities and equipment. Ask the enemy!!!"
It is known that the U.S. military, through the Maven project utilizing Palantir and Claude AI, has struck over 1,000 targets within Iran in 24 hours. This is a feat that would have previously taken 50-100 people six months to plan.
The Maven project began in 2017 as a project to automatically identify defects in drone footage and has since evolved into the Maven Smart System (MSS), which integrates all battlefield data to support strikes.
MSS analyzes vast amounts of data collected from various sources such as satellites, drones, and radar using AI to automatically identify targets like enemy vehicles or buildings and suggest strike priorities.
The fact that President Trump specifically mentioned the AI system, whose performance has been proven in this Iran conflict, is interpreted as an escalation of pressure, signaling that the U.S. military is preparing a stronger offensive and refining its capabilities during the ceasefire and negotiation period.
President Trump continued to post on Truth Social on Friday afternoon, sending a warning message to Iran, which imposes tolls on the Strait of Hormuz.
He wrote, "The Iranians don't seem to realize that they have no cards to play other than to extort the world short-term through the use of international waterways. The only reason they are alive today is because they are negotiating."
This is a threat to resume attacks if the strait is not kept open.
In another Truth Social post, President Trump sarcastically remarked, "The Iranians are better at dealing with fake news media and propaganda than they are at fighting."
