Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, is seen departing from Incheon International Airport on April 30, 2025, after meeting with South Korean business leaders. [Yonhap News]
Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, reportedly visited South Korea on April 28.
According to diplomatic sources, Trump Jr. entered the country on that day. His visit was for business purposes, and there were no plans for meetings with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was reported.
Industry sources indicate that Trump Jr. was planning to attend the debut album release concert of Ms. Han Ji-hee, the wife of Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin, on April 29.
Given the close friendship between Trump Jr. and Chairman Chung, it is highly likely that they will have a natural encounter at Ms. Han's concert during his visit to the country, sources say.
Earlier, Chairman Chung attended President Trump's inauguration with his wife, Ms. Han, in early last year and was also invited to Mar-a-Lago, President Trump's private resort in Palm Beach.
It is also reported that Misha Raskin, the founder of Reflection AI, an American artificial intelligence company that recently partnered with Shinsegae Group to build a super-large AI data center in South Korea, was connected through Trump Jr.
Trump Jr. had previously visited South Korea in April of last year at the invitation of Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin and met with heads of major South Korean businesses.
