China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 11th that U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to make a state visit to China from November 13th to 15th.

The ministry stated in a spokesperson's announcement that the visit is being made at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

Geng Shuang, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a regular press briefing on the afternoon of the 11th regarding President Trump's visit, "President Xi Jinping is scheduled to have in-depth discussions with President Trump on major issues related to Sino-U.S. relations and world peace and development."

Geng emphasized that this will be the second face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since their summit in Busan in October of the previous year, and the first visit by a U.S. president to China in nine years.

He added, "Summit diplomacy plays an irreplaceable strategic guiding role in Sino-U.S. relations. China hopes to work with the United States to uphold the spirit of equality, respect, and mutual benefit, expand cooperation, and manage and control disagreements, thereby injecting more stability and certainty into a world characterized by chaos and change."

When asked if the two leaders would discuss the situation in the Middle East, Geng stated, "China's position on the situation in Iran is consistent. China will continue to play an active role in advocating for a ceasefire, cessation of hostilities, reconciliation, and dialogue going forward."

However, the Chinese side did not disclose the specific schedule related to President Trump's visit.

The White House had previously announced on the 10th (U.S. time) that President Trump would arrive in Beijing on the evening of the 13th (China time).

According to the White House, President Trump is scheduled to attend a welcome ceremony on the 14th, followed by bilateral talks with President Xi, a tour of the Temple of Heaven, a renowned Beijing landmark, and a state banquet.

On his final day, the 15th, President Trump will have a tea time and working lunch with President Xi before returning to the United States.

The White House indicated that the two leaders are expected to meet at a minimum of six events over the two days of the 14th and 15th.

While China has not made specific comments on the main agenda items for the summit, the White House has stated that the agenda will include discussions of the U.S.-China trade and investment committees, as well as additional agreements in the aerospace, agriculture, and energy sectors.

This official confirmation of the schedule from the Chinese side comes more than a month after the White House first revealed President Trump's visit plans in mid-March. The specific daily schedule and agenda were also first disclosed by the White House.

China typically announces high-level diplomatic schedules closer to the event, often citing security concerns.

Given that the two leaders are scheduled to participate in outdoor activities at locations such as the Temple of Heaven, which are relatively vulnerable in terms of security, security in Beijing is expected to be significantly enhanced during President Trump's visit.

The armored vehicle, communication, and security equipment that President Trump will use upon his arrival in Beijing had already arrived in the city via a U.S. Air Force transport plane on the 1st.

The U.S.-China summit, initially discussed for late March to early April, was postponed once due to factors such as the deteriorating situation in the Middle East.
