U.S. President Donald Trump responded to questions about the results of his summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the 14th (local time), saying it was "excellent."

President Trump made the remark when asked by a reporter about how the meeting went while visiting the Temple of Heaven (a place where emperors performed sacrificial rites to heaven) after concluding the U.S.-China summit in Beijing that day.

President Trump added, "It's a beautiful place. It's incredible. China is beautiful," but did not answer a question about whether the issue of Taiwan was discussed.

According to News Max, President Trump reportedly discussed sensitive issues that divide the two countries, including Iran, trade, and Taiwan, with Xi Jinping. 

Earlier, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded by saying they "welcome" President Trump's visit and that "China is prepared to expand cooperation with the United States and coordinate differences." 

President Xi Jinping welcomed President Trump with lavish hospitality at the opulent Great Hall of the People, a grand ceremony that overshadowed the deep tensions between the world's two largest economies, the broadcast reported.
