Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump on the 15th, following Trump's visit to China.


According to Kyodo News and NHK, Prime Minister Takaichi met with reporters after a call lasting approximately 15 minutes, starting at 7:30 PM, and stated that President Trump provided a detailed account of his visit to China.

Prime Minister Takaichi also mentioned that they exchanged views on various pending issues concerning China.


Furthermore, they agreed to continue exchanging opinions on the situation in Iran, and Prime Minister Takaichi conveyed Japan's position to President Trump that an early de-escalation of the situation is important.


Prime Minister Takaichi stated, "(During this call) we were able to reaffirm the unwavering Japan-U.S. alliance."
