Patriotic conservative groups, including the "Mothers' Brigade," will hold a large-scale rally in front of the Samsung Electronics office building in Godeok, Pyeongtaek, for two days starting from the 18th, urging the Samsung Electronics union to end its strike.

This rally, organized by the "Mothers' Brigade of Korea (Representative Joo Ok-soon)" and "Korea-US Free Wave," is intended to warn of the negative impact the recent Samsung Electronics strike could have on the national economy and the lives of ordinary citizens, and to call for a resolution through dialogue and cooperation.

At the rally, the organizers plan to emphasize that "now is the time to work for Korea," highlighting that the sweat and effort of workers are the driving force behind building a better Korea, and to demand that the union immediately halt the strike.

Specifically, the organizers identified four major crises that could arise if the strike is prolonged: △ Destabilization of the national economy, △ Job losses, △ Income reduction, and △ Threats to family happiness. Furthermore, in a statement, they stressed that "a strike can never be a solution" and "management and labor must move forward together through dialogue and cooperation."

The rally will take place daily from 1 PM for two days, on the 18th and 19th. The venue is in front of the Samsung office building located in Godeok, Pyeongtaek. On the day of the rally, following free speeches and chants by the organizers, a march will also be held along the nearby roads.

In addition to the organizing groups, participants are expected to include representatives from Serverkaka, Daeho Yeon, and numerous patriotic YouTube channels. For transportation, visitors can take Subway Line 1 to Seojeongni Station, exit at Exit 2, transfer to Bus 1452, and alight at "Samsung Office Building Front" to access the rally site.

Below is the full text of the joint statement from civil society organizations condemning the Samsung Union's general strike.

"Stop the Irresponsible Strike Holding Korea's Economy and People's Lives Hostage"

In 2026, Korea is engaged in an economic war for national survival amidst a global economic downturn and fierce competition for semiconductor hegemony. Samsung Electronics, in particular, is a core company supporting Korea's exports and technological competitiveness, and a central pillar of the national economy responsible for the livelihoods of numerous partner companies and workers.

However, we express deep concern over the current situation where some Samsung unions are pushing for a general strike at this critical juncture, causing production disruptions and industrial instability.

Corporate growth and workers' rights should not be in opposition but in a relationship of mutual benefit. While the legitimate rights of workers must be respected, extreme strikes that threaten national industrial competitiveness and the overall national economy can never be justified.

If Samsung Electronics falters, it is not just a problem for one company. Numerous partner companies will be affected, youth employment will decrease, and national export competitiveness will weaken. Ultimately, the damage will fall upon all citizens.

Especially now, Korea's semiconductor industry is in fierce technological competition with the United States, China, and Taiwan. Even a single day of production disruption can have a serious impact on the global supply chain and investment confidence. Despite this, the union's insistence on a large-scale strike is an irresponsible act that disregards the reality of national industry.

We strongly urge the Samsung Union:

* Immediately cease the general strike that threatens the national economy.

* Do not turn the production site into a political battleground.

* Return to the path of dialogue and cooperation, not extreme confrontation.

* Do not undermine the future industries of Korea and the hopes of the younger generation.

Korea's economy is currently sustained by the sweat and dedication of numerous workers, engineers, and employees of partner companies. The true value of labor is realized in production, responsibility, and solidarity that protects the community.

We hope that Samsung Electronics will continue to contribute to Korea's industrial development and national competitiveness, and we urge both management and labor to find solutions for the future with a spirit of mutual benefit.

A strike is not the answer.

Now is the time to work together for the future of Korea.
