Park Soo-keun, Chairperson of the National Labor Relations Commission, emphasizes the effective implementation of the revised bill at the 'Ministry of Employment and Labor & National Labor Relations Commission Joint Workshop' held at the Sejong Convention Center on March 4, ahead of the enforcement of the 'Yellow Envelope Act' (amendments to Articles 2 and 3 of the Labor Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act). Park Soo-keun, Chairperson of the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), will directly participate as a mediator in the second post-mediation session between Samsung Electronics' labor and management, scheduled for the 18th.
According to the NLRC, Chairperson Park will attend the post-mediation session, held at the NLRC's office in the Government Complex Sejong, not as an observer, but as a mediator.
An NLRC official explained, "Both labor and management requested Chairperson Park to serve as a mediator, and he has decided to conduct the mediation unilaterally."
Given that this session is considered the last opportunity for dialogue before the general strike, scheduled for the 21st, this move is interpreted as both sides showing their willingness to conclude negotiations.
The post-mediation session will begin at 10 AM on the same day.
