U.S. President Donald Trump threatened on May 25 (local time) that attacks on Iran would intensify if an agreement with the country failed again.

President Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social that day, "The negotiations with Iran are going well. It's either a 'great deal' for everyone, or no deal."

He added that in the case of no deal, "we go back to the battlefield and the attacks will resume, but they will be bigger and stronger than ever before," warning, "And nobody wants that."

President Trump then mentioned Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain, with whom he had phone calls on May 23, and stated that he urged the leaders of these countries to join the 'Abraham Accords'. The UAE and Bahrain have already joined the accords.

The 'Abraham Accords' aim to normalize diplomatic relations between Israel and neighboring Arab countries. President Trump initiated this during his first term to achieve Middle East peace and has vowed to expand the number of signatory countries during his second term.

President Trump stated, "I mentioned that considering all the efforts the United States has made to put together this very complex puzzle, at least all these countries should be obligated to sign the Abraham Accords."

He added, "One or two countries may have reasons not to, and that will be accepted. But the majority should be ready, willing, and able to make this deal with Iran a much more historic event than it would otherwise be."

President Trump's remarks suggest that during the May 23 calls, Middle Eastern countries concerned about Iran, who were seriously considering resuming hostilities, urged him to accept Iran's peace proposal. In return for his consideration and postponement of attacks, he presented these countries with the demand to join the 'Abraham Accords'.

President Trump said that for countries already part of the accords (UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, Kazakhstan), "it has proven to bring financial, economic, and social prosperity, even during this time of conflict and war, and these countries have never proposed to withdraw or suspend it."

He added, "Saudi Arabia and Qatar must start by signing immediately, and other countries should follow. Otherwise, it shows ill will, and they should not participate in the deal (with Iran)."

President Trump also claimed that the Arab leaders he spoke with said, "Iran would be honored to become a member of the Abraham Accords as soon as our documents are signed."

He then stated, "Therefore, I am mandating all countries to sign the Abraham Accords immediately, and if Iran signs a deal with me, as President of the United States, I would be honored to have Iran also become a member of this unparalleled global alliance. I will instruct my representatives to begin the process of bringing these countries into the historic Abraham Accords and successfully complete it."
