The Youth Alliance for Fairness and Responsibility held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Center on the same day, hosted by National Assembly Member Park Choong-kwon of the People Power Party, and then moved to the Chinese Embassy in South Korea to deliver a letter of protest.

Cha Kang-seok, a member of the Youth Alliance for Fairness and Responsibility, stated, "We cannot tolerate even 1mm of intrusion into our sea," and added, "The Chinese government must show a mature attitude as a responsible member of the international community."

This press conference was held amidst renewed controversy over China unilaterally installing and operating structures near the provisional measures area between South Korea and China in the Yellow Sea.

In its statement, the Youth Alliance for Fairness and Responsibility pointed out, "The Yellow Sea is a key maritime area directly linked to South Korea's security, economy, and fishing activities." "China's moves to strengthen effective control by installing structures without sufficient consultation are amplifying the concerns of the South Korean people."

According to existing media reports and information confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China has installed a total of three structures in the provisional measures area between South Korea and China in the Yellow Sea, including two structures claimed to be aquaculture facilities (Sunlan No. 1 and No. 2) and one management facility.

Of these, only one management facility has been moved outside the provisional measures area, while the two structures, Sunlan No. 1 and No. 2, remain contentious.

The Youth Alliance for Fairness and Responsibility raised suspicions in this regard, stating, "It is suspected that China is attempting to circumvent domestic public opinion and diplomatic pressure by moving only some of the structures." They demanded, "The South Korean government must publicly disclose in detail to the people the location, nature, and whether the unauthorized structures in the Yellow Sea have been moved."

The organization also presented four demands to the Chinese government.

The Chinese government must transparently disclose the status of installations and operations of structures in the Yellow Sea to the South Korean government and the international community, and immediately cease unilateral actions to alter the status quo within the provisional measures area between South Korea and China.

Furthermore, it urged that all future maritime activities must be preceded by consultation in accordance with international law and the spirit of agreements between South Korea and China, and that actions that could lead to military or diplomatic tensions between the two countries must be refrained from.

Representative Cha Beom-geun stated, "The South Korean people will never stand idly by any situation that infringes upon the nation's maritime sovereignty and safety," and added, "For the stable development of South Korea-China relations, the Chinese government must act with prudence and restraint."

The Youth Alliance for Fairness and Responsibility announced its plans to send a letter of protest to Chinese President Xi Jinping and a letter of cooperation to the Korean War participating nations, starting with the delivery of a letter of protest to the Chinese Embassy on this day.

The organization emphasized, "The Yellow Sea is where our fishermen have sustained their lives and the frontline of South Korea's maritime sovereignty," and vowed to "lead the national action to defend our maritime sovereignty in the Yellow Sea."
