The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Saeed Koozechi, Iran's ambassador to South Korea, to its Seoul office on the 27th to protest the attack on a Korean vessel.
As Koozechi entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building that afternoon, he did not answer any questions from reporters, including whether the attack was intentional, if he intended to apologize, or if a country other than Iran was responsible for the attack.
