On the 21st, President Lee Jae-myung expressed his anger at the National Cabinet over the issue of two South Koreans captured by the Israeli military and instructed that measures to arrest the Israeli Prime Minister be considered, thereby inviting international disgrace.
As it is such a strange incident, I will write a few words about it, even though it has passed.
Kim Ah-hyun and Kim Dong-hyun, who were captured this time, were apprehended after knowing that the South Korean government had declared the Gaza Strip a no-travel zone. In other words, these two individuals violated national regulations. Furthermore, Israel did not only arrest South Koreans; they also arrested other foreign nationals who were entering on about 50 ships.
Israel released those arrested on May 20th, just two to three days later. However, Lee Jae-myung, without investigating the full details of the incident, became enraged on his own and even spoke of arresting the Israeli Prime Minister.
Although hundreds of foreigners were arrested together, it is, shamefully, only Lee Jae-myung of South Korea who is making a fuss.
Kim Ah-hyun was arrested for the same incident last year. Therefore, she was arrested again this time while her passport had been invalidated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ultimately, Kim Ah-hyun is more than a human rights activist; she is a criminal.
However, Lee Jae-myung, without questioning Kim Ah-hyun's wrongdoing, became irrationally angry and, without any diplomatic consultation with Israel, ordered the review of an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Netanyahu. How shameful is this disgrace?
Those who do not know well what kind of person Lee Jae-myung is might see him as a great patriotic president who goes to any length for his citizens.
As everyone knows, a South Korean ship was hit by a missile in Hormuz, and hundreds of sailors are currently trapped in Hormuz, trembling with anxiety.
Despite the Iranian side admitting to firing on the South Korean ship, for some reason, Lee Jae-myung cannot utter a single word of protest to Iran. He certainly doesn't seem to consider rescuing the hundreds of sailors.
Secondly, a while ago, numerous South Korean personal data were leaked by Chinese nationals through Coupang, but Lee Jae-myung, with a single phrase of "What can be done?", sold out the pride of the South Korean people and the nation's standing.
Thirdly, he is a heartless person who dismissed the tearful plea of the bereaved families to get an apology from North Korea for the Cheonan sinking incident with the remark, "Would they apologize just because someone asks them to?"
Fourthly, during a session with foreign press, he shocked the world by responding to a question about the fate of South Koreans detained in North Korea with, "I've never heard of that."
Of course, he might not know. However, even after knowing that six of our citizens have been held in North Korea for over 10 years, he has never once asked for their return, and instead, Lee Jae-myung has been obsequious.
Fifthly, Lee Jae-myung also turns a blind eye to the Muan Airport incident, which caused hundreds of casualties.
Sixthly, Lee Jae-myung is the one who enacted a law that punishes with a 5-year prison sentence anyone who criticizes China, even though his own citizens are suffering various damages and threats from Chinese nationals he brought in. Let's not say any more.
Given that Lee Jae-myung is this ruthlessly cold, what could be the reason for him to be so indiscriminately enraged over this Kim Ah-hyun incident and even order the issuance of an arrest warrant for the head of state of another country?
Ultimately, for whom is Lee Jae-myung president? Are Kim Ah-hyun and Kim Dong-hyun the only citizens he needs to protect?
Is not Lee Jae-myung a president who serves the interests of North Korea, China, and Iran, rather than South Korea?
