The People Power Party criticized President Lee Jae-myung on the 2nd for his remarks at a cabinet meeting to the acting prosecutor general, stating that one should "apologize and cancel if wrong" and "not fall into the trap of infallibility." The party argued that this was "effectively pressuring the prosecution to withdraw the indictment."

Song Eon-seok, co-campaign chairman, wrote on Facebook, "Today's remarks at the cabinet meeting are a preview of the president's attempt to have the indictment withdrawn, which will intensify after the local elections. It is an open threat to withdraw the president's own indictment," adding, "All citizens must come to the polls and vote against the withdrawal of the indictment that would erase the president's crimes."

Choi Bo-yoon, spokesperson for the central campaign committee, also issued a statement, saying, "These are truly arrogant and dangerous remarks that are hard to believe came from the president. What exactly is President Lee openly pressuring the prosecution to 'cancel'?" and "The president's public and unfiltered remarks, reminiscent of an issue directly linked to his judicial risks, are an act that directly shakes the rule of law."

The People Power Party also strongly criticized President Lee's remarks at the cabinet meeting, where he referred to reports by some broadcasters as "party organs" and called them biased.

It seems he wants all broadcasts to become 'Kim Eo-jun broadcasts.' He appears determined to eliminate all but 'pro-Lee media.'"

The party's Special Committee on Media Freedom held a press conference at the National Assembly and stated, "President Lee directly mentioned the issue of license renewal and re-authorization for broadcasters at the cabinet meeting, which can only be interpreted as an open warning and threat to broadcasts critical of the administration," adding, "If the president's words are a declaration of principle to restore fairness in broadcasting, then first, judge MBC to the level of public perception."

Meanwhile, the People Power Party criticized the Lee Jae-myung administration's investigation into overseas cases related to the anti-discrimination law, stating, "The 'comprehensive anti-discrimination law' that has been discussed so far is a bill that dismantles the traditional values we have upheld," and "We will firmly block the Democratic Party's unilateral legislative drive."

Chairman Chang stated at a press conference held at the party headquarters in Yeouido, "Although it claims the guise of preventing discrimination, it is actually a tool for strengthening leftist power," and argued, "While it claims to prevent discrimination against minorities, it will trample on the just voices of the majority."

He also wrote on Facebook, "Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party will unilaterally push it through once the local elections are over," and warned, "The standards of ethics and morality will change, even religious beliefs could become subject to punishment, and the prohibition of discrimination will lead to another form of discrimination."
