Former President Park Geun-hye cast her vote at the 3rd polling station in Yuga-eup, Dalseong-gun, Daegu, on the 3rd, the election day for the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections.

Former President Park visited the polling station set up at Biseul Elementary School around 10 a.m. that day.

About 20 police officers and security personnel began their duties an hour prior to her arrival, and lines were set up for order maintenance.

The polling station is located about 1.1 km in a straight line from her residence. While it is not the closest polling station to her residence, it is where former President Park is registered as a voter.

Former President Park arrived at the polling station wearing a pink striped shirt, white pants, and sneakers.

She stood in line behind other voters and waited for about 5 minutes, engaging in brief conversations with security personnel and election officials.

After her identity was verified, she received the ballots and proceeded to vote. Although the area where former President Park was voting should have had 8 ballots due to a by-election for a National Assembly member, only 7 ballots were issued because a proportional representative for the local council was elected uncontested.

For the first vote, to elect the Mayor of Daegu, the Magistrate of Dalseong-gun, a National Assembly member, and the Superintendent of Education, she stayed in the voting booth for about 1 minute and 10 seconds.

For the second vote, to elect a proportional representative for the local council, she stayed in the booth for about 50 seconds and voted with a bright expression.

After voting, former President Park met with reporters and shared her thoughts on voting, stating, "Voting is a truly important right for citizens and also a duty. Therefore, I hope everyone exercises their precious vote to create a better future for our country."

She added, "Each and every precious vote determines the direction the country will take, so I hope people participate not just 'a lot' but 'without fail'."

When asked by reporters about her future plans for conservative integration, she hesitated for a moment and then, smiling, said, "I'll just be going," and left the scene.
