Professor Seo Kyeong-duk of Sungshin Women's University announced on the 6th that he will be conducting an online campaign to post the Taegeukgi flag with netizens both domestically and internationally in commemoration of Memorial Day.
The professor stated via his social networking service (SNS) on this day, "On Memorial Day, the Taegeukgi should be flown at half-mast, but it is concerning that many places are no longer flying the national flag recently."
He added, "If you were unable to fly the national flag offline, I intend to launch a campaign to fly the Taegeukgi online for today."
Furthermore, he guided that individuals can participate by posting a picture of the Taegeukgi on their personal SNS accounts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and KakaoTalk, along with the hashtag '#MemorialDayTaegeukgiCampaign,' in their posts or profiles.
He emphasized, "The participation of overseas Koreans and international students will be a good opportunity to properly inform foreigners about the Taegeukgi," and added, "If the online Taegeukgi display is successful, it can also greatly contribute to increasing the offline Taegeukgi display rate."
