A man in his 70s died in a crushing accident while working at an auto parts manufacturing company in Gwangju.

According to the Gwangju Fire Department, at around 1:44 PM on the previous day, worker A (70s) had his upper body crushed between machines at an auto parts manufacturing company in Dongrim-dong, Buk-gu.

A, who suffered multiple fractures in the accident, was transported to the hospital by the fire department but died.

It was investigated that A, a sole proprietor, was working alone on a precision lathe operation, straightening metal, when the accident occurred, and was discovered by employees from another nearby company.
