Usually, I would have just exchanged a few dry words and moved on, but for some reason, today I suddenly felt a surge of anger. In the end, I ‘again’ blocked a visitor (客, Facebook visitor) who was flaunting their flimsy intellectual superiority.
When I referred to the "twin vote" phenomenon that emerged from the June 3 local election vote count, likening it to shamanism and mentioning "election fraud," he immediately jumped in, talking about "intelligence." It was a stern lecture: "It happened in Taiwan, and it's a statistically possible coincidence, so why are you inciting without facts?"
(In an earlier post on the same day, writer Park Joo-hyun stated that the current National Election Commission, which claims even the occurrence of 869 "twin votes" are "all statistically possible coincidences," is not an administrative body managing elections but rather a grand shamanic ritual hall that creates coincidences and miracles. Editor’s note)
Yes, as statisticians say, the numbers themselves might be a possible coincidence. I acknowledged that in my writing too. However, the problem is not the numbers, but the astonishing barbarity of the state institution surrounding those numbers.
This is the Election Commission that drove away voters due to a shortage of ballot papers, allowed others' fingerprints to pass freely, and loaded boxes containing crucial evidence onto a garbage truck and burned them just before the court's on-site verification.
When terrible irregularities — where the referee openly manipulates rules and destroys evidence — are simultaneously erupting, and a 'statistical miracle' is added to that, shouldn't a rational citizen naturally harbor enormous doubts?
At this point, a lament mixed with a hollow laugh suddenly escapes me. Why is it that only we conservatives always have to so exhaustingly scour the foothills like hungry hyenas, searching for 100% perfect evidence?
The Election Commission, which committed crimes, is clad in the armor of a 'constitutional body,' locking the doors of its secret chambers and even blocking investigations. Are sovereign citizens supposed to shut their mouths and not even cast a stone of doubt until immaculate scientific evidence is presented?
Let's dryly ask those who love science and facts so much:
In the history of that massive incitement by the left-wing camp that paralyzed the entire nation, what flimsy 'scientific basis' was there, anyway? The Mad Cow Disease incident, where people came out with strollers, claiming American beef would cause 'holes in the brain.'
The THAAD monster tale that claimed melons would fry from electromagnetic waves. Even the Fukushima incitement that led to salt hoarding. When they used barbaric rumors worse than third-rate novels and fears on the level of shamanism as weapons to strangle the nation, they sanctimoniously tolerated it as "the public's rational anxiety."
Why do such people suddenly embody strict, Nobel Prize-worthy statisticians and talk about 'intelligence' only to right-wing citizens who are enraged by the Election Commission's obvious administrative collapse? Before this severe and disgusting hypocrisy, even scorn feels wasted.
Of course, this by no means suggests that we conservatives should fabricate endless rumors and blindly incite, like that left-wing cartel. Because the weapon of conservatism must be cold reason.
But when a state institution is collapsing the system and burning evidence right before our eyes, politely putting it in neutral and clearing our throats, saying "there's no legal evidence," is not intelligence, but 'cowardice.'
When power tries to conceal, suspicion is the most legitimate right of defense a sovereign citizen can wield. Crushing the voice of doubt by blaming intelligence and drawing a cool line is merely the most sophisticated form of accomplice declaration, condoning this abnormal abuse of power.
So, to that refined person who wanted to boast about their flimsy intelligence, I leave a final 'fiery farewell.'
I understand your excellent intelligence perfectly well, so please, do not bother the writings of a rustic and less intelligent person like me, and instead enjoy yourself in elegant places befitting your caliber.
Even if the nation's constitutional order turns into a mess and suffrage is trampled, it seems you can afford to very leisurely hold out until 'indisputable evidence' emerges, thanks to your exceptionally high intelligence. Even when the country is completely collapsing, I sincerely hope you maintain that noble neutrality brilliantly to the very end.
