Dr. Douglas Frank on the cover of The Korean-American Times Issue 12

On the 14th, Dr. Douglas G. Frank, who visited Korea as part of the joint US-Korea investigation team for election irregularities, returned to the United States and made a strong statement via his X account (@DrFrankModels) that the US should lead the dissolution of AWEB (Association of World Election Bodies) and NEC (National Election Commission). 

First, his assessment of the situation in Korea, numbered as follows, is as follows: 

1. There is an illegally elected president in Korea.

2. There is an illegally elected National Assembly in Korea.

3. The illegal and corrupt National Election Commission (NEC) effectively controls the country.

4. The Korean judiciary is corrupt.

5. The Korean 'conservative' political parties are corrupt.

6. Communist sympathizers have infiltrated and taken control of all sectors of the Korean government.

7. What China and North Korea could not achieve with bullets, Korea has achieved through votes.

8. Korea is exporting election fraud to the world through AWEB (Association of World Election Bodies).

Dr. Frank stated that Korea is in a serious crisis, but also expressed hope for the following reasons. 

A. Nine out of ten Koreans are pro-American and anti-communist.

B. Korean Christian churches are vibrant and active, and recognize the existential threat of communism.

C. Half of the population knows that the recent elections were fraudulent, and the chairman of the national election commission had to resign because of it.

D. Tens of thousands of protestors gather daily, protesting, drawing global attention, and desperately calling for decisive US intervention.

E. The world's largest US overseas military base (Camp Humphreys) is in Korea, and serves as our 'foothold' to prevent the spread of communism.

F. Korea was founded on prayer, has a very low crime rate, and is largely free from drug problems.

G. The people are well-educated and economically prosperous, but many still do not properly recognize their current situation. However, they are gradually awakening. Therefore, there is hope for our brothers and sisters in Korea.

Despite these points, Dr. Frank stated that they are living in a precarious, battlefield-like situation, and that the Korean War did not end with a treaty, and the long war with communism is still ongoing.

He also hinted at the US needing to stand with Korea, saying, "It seems difficult days lie ahead. We fought alongside them in the 1950s, investing immense human lives and resources, and we have strategically important military bases there. We cannot just withdraw now."

He added, "God has wonderful ways of orchestrating outcomes as the sovereign. I pray for God's intervention and wonder what role America will play, and what my role will be."

Primarily, he asserted, "The United States must use its alliances to demand the dissolution of AWEB. And the corrupt NEC must be dissolved."

He concluded his message by stating, "The US must strongly urge [Korea] to establish new, transparent, and accountable bodies to conduct free and fair elections."
