Citizens in Jamsil demanding a re-election due to election fraud and same-day voting with manual counting. ⒸHanmi Ilbo
The 'election,' a sacred contract through which sovereign citizens delegate power to the state, was brutally trampled upon through the 6.3 Election. Elections must be transparent and fair in their process, as well as in their results.
However, the shortage of ballots in opposition-leaning districts confirmed in the recent 6.3 Election, the falsification of vote counts, statistical anomalies, and the evasion of responsibility by those in power have shaken the foundations of democracy.
We strongly condemn the current regime's anti-democratic tyranny, which conceals countless pieces of evidence of election fraud and attempts to silence citizens who gather in Jamsil to raise legitimate concerns by labeling them as 'conspiracy theorists.' We urge the following for the restoration of constitutional values and the right to vote:
First, those involved in election fraud that undermined the right to vote and distorted the will of the people must be severely punished.
Election fraud encompasses all illegal acts that distort the will of the voters and undermine the fairness and legitimacy of elections. This includes not only traditional methods such as bribery, populist tax giveaways, and the intervention of high-ranking officials, but also fraudulent activities that exploit advanced digital technologies like hacking computer systems, forging data, and manipulating public opinion and vote counts.
The shortage of ballots is a clear case of election fraud in violation of election laws. The disruption of the election system, including intentional manipulation of vote counts, and the handling of absentee ballots in areas with surveillance blind spots constitute national crimes of election fraud.
In a 2009 ruling, the German Federal Constitutional Court declared the introduction of electronic vote counting machines unconstitutional due to a lack of transparency, stating that "voting results must not be processed in a way that cannot be directly verified by the public."
The legitimacy of an election is secured when the state ensures that the entire voting process can be intuitively understood and monitored by citizens. However, our nation has undermined the legitimacy of popular sovereignty by using a closed system that citizens cannot verify.
Second, we condemn the real conspiracy theorists who are trying to cover up election fraud by framing it as a conspiracy theory.
The numerous instances of brick-like ballots, the statistical anomalies of the 829 twin graphs, and the discrepancies observed at polling stations during the 6.3 Election are not issues to be taken lightly. The authorities are applying the contemptible 'conspiracy theory' frame to sovereign citizens who demand a 're-election due to election fraud' based on scientific data and on-site evidence.
This is not a mere political dispute. It is a systematic incitement to cover up the 6.3 incident that shook the foundations of liberal democracy and a barbarity committed with the power of the state. Since when did the Republic of Korea fall to the level of a primitive tribal nation that intimidates its citizens?
'Conspiracy theory' is the easiest shield to protect vested interests. The act of labeling citizens who raise legitimate concerns as 'mentally ill' or 'social disruptors' in an attempt to socially bury them is nothing but a cowardly act of trying to hide election fraud.
If there are doubts, the ballot boxes should be opened transparently, and the computer systems should be verified. What are they so afraid of that they hide behind the word 'conspiracy theory' instead of undergoing verification? Those who conceal the truth and silence the people are the truly heinous conspiracy theorists who have appeared in every historical event, from the mad cow disease outbreak to the present.
Third, immediately cease the intimidation of citizens and the politics of fear employed by state power.
The arrogance of the current regime knows no bounds. Regarding the Olympic Park Sovereignty Uprising that protested the shortage of ballots in the 6.3 Election, President Lee ordered a 'strict investigation,' and Seoul Metropolitan Police Commissioner Park Jung-bo brazenly threatened protesters at a press conference, stating, "You could ruin your life by blindly following along." He even went as far as to say, "If we decide to, the Korean police are the best at pinpointing and arresting individuals."
It is the police's inherent duty to investigate illegal activities according to law and principle. For the head of state power to use extreme terms like 'ruin your life' and to disparagingly call citizens 'thoughtless' is the height of arrogance. This is a threat to trample on legitimate voices and to scatter a family to the winds.
Such remarks are not the language of a democratic police force but the intimidation of Chinese public security and the prelude to a politics of fear, solely concerned with the security of power. We will never stand idly by as state power commits such atrocities, evading responsibility for election fraud and turning citizens into enemies in a blatant act of defiance.
Fourth, we urge the normalization of the state through the severe judgment of those who have undermined the constitution.
We will no longer tolerate the subversion of the state through election fraud that has brought the heart of our democratic republic to a standstill. To rectify the collapsed constitutional order, we summarize our demands as follows:
① The perpetrators within the National Election Commission who designed and executed the election fraud, and their behind-the-scenes collaborators, must be immediately apprehended. Furthermore, the masterminds of the media cartel, who have blinded the public with fabricated and distorted reporting while concealing the truth, must be classified as accomplices and subject to severe punishment equivalent to treason against the state.
② As the majority firmly believes the 6.3 election was fraudulent, the 6.3 Election must be declared null and void, and the inauguration of all public officials elected through the fraudulent system on July 1st must be suspended. The Election Commission, having lost all credibility, must be dissolved, and the authority to manage elections must be transferred to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to ensure the fairness of elections.
③ The election law must be amended to a system of 'same-day voting and on-site manual counting' to address the root causes of election fraud. A general re-election must be held within three months to confirm the legitimate will of the people and to restore the legitimacy of democracy that has been eroded.
Our struggle for sovereignty will not cease until the National Election Commission, which has degenerated into a criminal organization, is dissolved and the will of the sovereign voters can be transparently verified. We warn that those who have deceived the public through long-term election fraud will inevitably face the stern judgment of history. We reiterate our commitment to fight until the collapsed constitution is restored and a just Republic of Korea is rebuilt.
