While institutional reform is certainly necessary, the truth behind election fraud must first be uncovered, and those involved must be strictly punished. Only then can institutional reform be made complete. ⒸHanmi Ilbo
There is an order to all things.
I believe that by now, if you include those who simply find the results suspicious, over 80% of the population is convinced that there was election fraud.
This is a conclusion drawn from synthesizing accurate public opinion polls, street-level surveys, and the reactions of people around us in the six years since the April 15 general election.
Currently, established political parties and legacy media are proposing various measures such as reforming the National Election Commission (NEC) and improving the early voting system. While institutional reform is naturally essential, the truth about the election fraud must be revealed first, and those responsible must face stern punishment. Only then can institutional reform become complete.
Over 60% of the public, who are convinced of election fraud, believe that a significant number of officials—including the President, members of the National Assembly, heads of local governments, superintendents of education, and provincial, city, county, and district council members—are illegitimate.
If that is the case, how should a rigorous investigation and punishment proceed?
I believe that under no circumstances should these tasks be entrusted to the imposters themselves. In particular, the NEC must be completely removed from all election management and public opinion polling.
This work should be given with full authority to those who are well-versed in the election fraud and have fought against it. If they conduct an investigation and it turns out there was no fraud, it would end the waste of national resources and could even serve as an opportunity for national unity.
I believe that holding a national referendum on this issue is one viable method. Management of such a referendum must not be handled by the NEC; it should be commissioned to a neutral international election observation group.
I believe now is the perfect time for U.S. President Donald Trump, who is sincere about the issue of election fraud, to express his stance on the current situation in South Korea. This is because 90% of the public is currently pro-American, and over 80% have suspicions regarding election fraud. If he speaks out now, he will receive the full support of the South Korean people.
Any form of expression would suffice. It could be a message of support for the patriotic citizens fighting at Olympic Park, a direct mention that Lee Jae-myung is an imposter, or a move through the UN to pass a resolution declaring South Korea an election-fraud state, similar to the actions of former Ambassador Moss.
Alternatively, he could instruct Ambassador Michelle Steel to visit President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is detained at the Seoul Detention Center, or to encourage the patriotic citizens who are staging protests against election fraud at Olympic Park, carrying only the Taegeukgi and the Stars and Stripes.
If President Trump were to implement such actions, it would not only serve the interests of the United States but also provide an opportunity to solidify an eternal blood alliance with South Korea.
