Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, has vowed to avenge his father, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and all other victims of the current war who were killed in U.S. and Israeli airstrikes early in the conflict.

In a written message released on the 11th (local time) regarding his father's recent funeral, Ayatollah Mojtaba addressed the nation.

He stated, "We vow to avenge the pure blood of you and all the martyrs sacrificed in these two wars from those heinous and disgraceful murderers," adding, "This revenge is the demand of our people and must be carried out."

He continued his warning by saying, "These criminals, whose list is vast, must take to their graves the vain hope of passing away peacefully in their own beds," and asserted, "They must clearly understand that this vengeance is independent of the survival of myself or any other high-ranking officials."

He further added, "Regardless of our existence, this will surely be realized, and before long, free citizens across the world will join in this sacred mission."

Ayatollah Mojtaba also compared his late father to the third Imam, Hussein, who met a tragic end while fighting against the Sunni dynasty.

He remarked, "Now, the spirit of that Hussein has revived our people and granted a new dimension to the teachings of Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei."

Ayatollah Mojtaba, who is believed to have been wounded in the February 28th airstrike by the U.S. and Israel that killed his father, has not appeared in public even once since succeeding to the position of Supreme Leader due to security concerns. He was also not seen during his father's six-day funeral.
