21 buildings, each 52m in length, captured in satellite imagery… No TELs or multiple rocket launchers directly detected

Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported that satellite imagery has captured signs of North Korea constructing numerous storage and maintenance facilities for multiple rocket launchers near the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
On the 17th, RFA cited an analysis by private satellite imagery analyst Jacob Bogle, who identified that 21 structures, each approximately 52 meters long, have been built across various small North Korean military bases in areas south of Kaesong and north of the Han River, based on satellite photos taken between 2023 and 2025.
These buildings are located approximately 50 kilometers in a straight line from Seoul.
RFA reported that the satellite imagery shows these buildings have high ceilings and an elongated shape, with roads accessible to vehicles on both sides, and appear to be connected to offices and other facilities.
Based on their location and design, RFA raised the possibility that these structures are being used as storage and maintenance facilities for Transporter Erector Launchers (TELs) or multiple rocket launchers (MLRS).
The analysis suggests that the elongated shape and high roofs are necessary to store launcher vehicles in a line or to perform maintenance while the launchers are in an upright position.
However, the TELs or multiple rocket launchers themselves were not directly identified in the satellite photos.
Satellite imagery analyst Bogle told RFA, "North Korea has been quietly expanding facilities related to multiple rocket launchers," adding, "While this is just one part of the improvement work within the DMZ, these are among the most threatening facilities."
Joseph Bermudez, a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), told RFA, "It is an attempt to strengthen forward-deployed troops," noting, "There would be no reason to build this many identical structures unless they intended to deploy additional assets to the front lines."
