On Monday, the 25th, hot weather will continue with daytime highs exceeding 36 degrees Celsius, and rain is expected in most parts of the country.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 24th, rain will begin on the western coasts of Incheon and Gyeonggi, and the western coasts of Chungnam and Jeolla on the morning of the 25th. In the afternoon, it will expand to the Seoul metropolitan area, inland mountainous regions of Gangwon, the Chungcheong region, and the Jeolla region.
Showers are expected in inland Gyeongsang and Jeju Island.
The expected precipitation for Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the Western Sea Islands, inland mountainous regions of northern Gangwon, and the Chungcheong region including Daejeon and Sejong is 30-80 mm. For the Jeolla region, including Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk, 10-60 mm of rain is forecast.
The expected precipitation for areas experiencing showers is 5-40 mm.
Despite the rain, heatwaves with apparent temperatures around 35 degrees Celsius are expected to persist.
On the 25th, the expected daytime high temperatures nationwide will be between 30 and 36 degrees Celsius, higher than the seasonal average (26.7-30.3 degrees Celsius).
The expected daytime high temperatures for each region include 32 degrees Celsius in Seoul and Busan, 35 degrees Celsius in Daegu, and 33 degrees Celsius in Gwangju, Jeonju, Daejeon, Gangneung, and Jeju.
