U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the relationship with South Korea will not deteriorate due to the incident where over 300 Korean workers at the Hyundai Motor Group-LG Energy Solution joint battery plant in Georgia, USA, were apprehended and detained by U.S. immigration authorities.
On the 7th (local time), President Trump, upon returning to Andrews Joint Base near Washington D.C. after visiting New York to watch the men's final at the US Open tennis tournament, met with reporters. When asked if he believed this incident would cause tension in South Korea-U.S. relations, he responded, "No. We have a very good relationship with South Korea."
