Choi Hye-jung has clinched her second win of the season on the KLPGA Champions Tour, the senior professional golf tour in South Korea, securing the prize money title for the second consecutive year.
On the 30th, in the final round of the 7th event of the KLPGA 2025 West Ocean CC Champions Tour (total prize money of 70 million KRW) held at the Ocean & Valley Course (par 72, 5,634 yards) of West Ocean Country Club in Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do, Choi fired a 7-under-par 65, featuring nine birdies and one double bogey.
With a final total of 13-under-par 131, Choi finished at the top of the leaderboard, three strokes ahead of Lee Yu-bin (10-under-par 134).
With this victory, Choi earned the winner's prize of 10.5 million KRW, bringing her season earnings to 55.515 million KRW and cementing her position as the season's prize money leader.
Choi stated, "I am truly happy to become the first multi-win player on the Champions Tour this season, and I feel proud to have won the prize money title again following last year. I am pleased with myself for getting good results through hard work," adding, "I will do my best in the final remaining tournament of the season to achieve a third win."
Having secured a regular tour seed, which is awarded to the Champions Tour prize money leader under newly established regulations this year, she said, "It is a new feeling to secure a seed after 10 years. It feels like a sign to keep working hard at golf in the future," adding, "I will remain humble and continue to be a player who gives her all." Yonhap News
