The number of fatalities from the recent hydrogen pipeline explosion accident at SK Energy's Ulsan plant has risen to two.
According to the Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency and the Ulsan branch of the National Plant Construction Labor Union on the 23rd, a subcontract employee in their 40s, who was receiving treatment after being injured in the accident, passed away this morning.
Previously, on the 18th, a subcontract employee in their 50s died while undergoing treatment.
Consequently, the death toll from the explosion accident that occurred during regular maintenance work on the hydrogen manufacturing process at SK Energy's FCC Plant 2 in Yongyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan on the 17th has increased to two.
Currently, four individuals, including three subcontract employees and one main contractor employee, are receiving treatment.
