Officials from the People Power Party's Media Special Committee head to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 24th to file a complaint against Choi Min-hee, Chairperson of the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee, on charges of abuse of power and violation of the Broadcasting Act for ordering the MBC Broadcasting Headquarters Director to leave during a non-public business report. Rep. Choi Min-hee, who ordered an MBC reporter to leave during a parliamentary audit, has been reported to the police. 

The People Power Party's Media Special Committee filed a complaint with the police on the 24th against Rep. Choi, who serves as the chairperson of the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee), on charges of violating the Broadcasting Act and abuse of power. 

Son Su-jo, the party's media spokesperson, met with reporters in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency before submitting the complaint, stating, "Demanding a reporter to leave because they wrote an unfavorable article is an arrogant and disrespectful attitude," and "It is a display of intoxication with power."

Lawmakers from the People Power Party are calling for Chairperson Choi's resignation in relation to the controversy over the expulsion of the MBC reporter and the controversy surrounding her daughter's wedding. 

Previously, Rep. Choi Min-hee was also embroiled in controversy for applying for the National Assembly's reception hall using her own ID, despite claiming she did not know when her daughter's wedding was taking place. 

On the 22nd, People Power Party lawmaker Park Jeong-hoon claimed on his social media that the National Assembly Secretariat's confirmation contradicted Rep. Choi's statement that her daughter decided the date and venue of her wedding independently without her mother's involvement. 

Furthermore, Rep. Choi is at the center of controversy for allegedly requesting flower wreaths from the Korea Communications Standards Commission, a supervised agency. 

On the 23rd, People Power Party lawmaker Kim Jang-gyeom stated during the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee's parliamentary audit of KBS and other entities that while the chairperson's office claimed they had not contacted supervised agencies to request flower wreaths, this was untrue. 

Rep. Kim revealed, "I received contact from the office of former KCSC Chairperson Lee Jin-suk stating that Rep. Choi's office had requested flower wreaths," and disclosed the content of a conversation between the former chairperson and a KCSC official before her dismissal.
