A large-scale fire that occurred early on the 15th at the Eland Fashion logistics center in Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam, has inevitably impacted Eland Fashion's business. 

As firefighting efforts continued until midday on the 16th, the second day, the extent of the damage is becoming clear.

Despite the magnitude of the disaster, the three security guards who discovered the fire promptly reported it to 119 and evacuated safely. Furthermore, as the fire occurred in the early hours before employees arrived, there were no casualties. 

However, the logistics center building, equivalent to 27 soccer fields, was virtually completely destroyed, resulting in the loss of approximately 11 million clothing items. 

This logistics center handles all products for 10 Eland affiliate brands, including New Balance, SPAO, WHO.A.U, MIXXO, Clovis, ROEM, EBLIN, and SHOOPEN, leading to disruptions in product delivery. 

Meanwhile, the fire, which started on the 4th floor around 6:10 AM on the 15th, rapidly spread due to combustible materials stored inside. Although 11 fire helicopters, 150 fire trucks, and approximately 430 personnel were mobilized for suppression, difficulties were encountered in extinguishing remaining embers until midday on the 16th. 

Following the complete extinguishing of the fire, the police and fire authorities plan to conduct a joint investigation to determine the exact cause and origin of the fire.
