People Power Party Floor Leader Song Eon-seok criticized Kim Yong-beom, the Presidential Office's Chief Policy Officer, who raised his voice at a National Assembly Steering Committee meeting on the 23rd, stating, "He should apologize immediately and clarify his responsible position."

Song said on Facebook that day, "Pointing fingers and shouting at a National Assembly member who is questioning on behalf of the people is not just an expression of emotion, but a grave act of insulting the representative body of the people."

He argued, "Director Kim's actions clearly showed how this administration treats the people," adding, "The casual remarks and behaviors of public officials in the Lee Jae-myung administration, who look down on the public, are serious."

He further added, "We must once again keep in mind that public office is not a position to enjoy power, but a place to serve the entire nation."

Earlier, on the 18th, Director Kim had raised his voice and protested during a National Assembly Steering Committee meeting when an opposition party lawmaker mentioned his daughter, who lives in a jeonse (lump-sum deposit) rental, during questioning about alleged gap investment.
