Today, the 4th, the first snow is expected to fall in Seoul and the metropolitan area from the afternoon. In Seoul, many citizens were seen commuting in thick padded jackets due to the morning temperature plummeting to -9℃. 

The estimated snowfall is up to 5cm in the metropolitan area, and traffic congestion, including road paralysis, is expected as a large amount of snow could fall in a short period.

The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "There is a high possibility that snow will be concentrated during the evening commute in central inland areas, so it is important to refer to the latest weather information." They also advised, "Be cautious about traffic safety as icy roads and black ice may appear in areas where rain or snow has fallen."

Additionally, dry weather advisories have been expanded and strengthened, primarily along the East Coast. The Korea Meteorological Administration urged caution against fire accidents as strong winds are expected nationwide until the morning.

The cold weather is expected to gradually ease over the weekend.
