Na Kyung-won, a lawmaker from the People Power Party, sharply criticized an article titled "Lee, 'I'm willing to apologize to North Korea but worried about being labeled pro-North.'"

On the 3rd, Rep. Na revealed her displeasure with Lee Jae-myung by uploading an article on her Facebook page titled "Lee's Foreign Press Conference at the State Guest House to Mark One Year of Emergency Martial Law."

According to the article, Lee Jae-myung told foreign journalists, "I believe we should apologize for the controversy of provoking North Korea by distributing leaflets to the North during the previous administration, but I am concerned about being labeled pro-North. I worry it might become fodder for political ideological conflict, which is why I've hesitated to speak. However, I am somewhat relieved that a reporter asked about it, yet I also feel like my true intentions have been exposed. I will leave it at this."

In response, Rep. Na expressed her displeasure, stating, "An apology to North Korea? This is a grave insult to national dignity and an insult to the people." Within a day of the post, it received over 1,000 'likes' and over 500 'comments'.

But what is there to apologize for?

From the Korean War invasion, nuclear threats, trash balloons, drones, hacking and crypto theft, the sinking of the Cheonan, the shelling of Yeonpyeong Island, the landmine terror, to the inhumane atrocity of shooting dead a public official in the West Sea and burning their body...

In the face of all these anti-national and anti-humanitarian provocations, the very act of the President of the Republic of Korea saying he will bow his head to North Korea is an act of dereliction of duty and a thought that undermines the constitution.

Is it because they cannot yet release Lee Hwa-young, an accomplice in illegal remittances to North Korea?

Is it an apology for not giving more seats to the Progressive Party, the successor to the unconstitutional Unified Progressive Party, which acted according to North Korea's directives? Is it for not abolishing the National Security Act sooner?

This is a topsy-turvy world where criminals force innocent people to apologize, and perpetrators force victims to apologize.

Apologize to the people for the remarks about apologizing to North Korea. Show profound remorse to the heroes of the West Sea, the deceased public official, the patriotic martyrs, and their bereaved families.
