Following the recent shockwaves caused by the Jeffrey Epstein case in American society, U.S. federal authorities have drawn attention by consecutively rescuing dozens of children from sex trafficking organizations through large-scale crackdown operations.
The New York Post reported on the 20th (local time) that "U.S. federal authorities, through a large-scale operation, have rescued dozens of missing children, including a one-year-old infant, from sex trafficking organizations and arrested over ten sex traffickers."
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, a total of 43 missing children were found over the past two weeks in 14 counties across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
Greg Rokusek, Acting U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Florida, stated, "Thanks to the efforts of the U.S. Marshals Service and our law enforcement partners, 43 children who were in danger have been safely returned home to spend the holidays."
He added, "The victims ranged in age from 1 to 17 years old, and they received physical and mental treatment."
Previously, Korean broadcaster WKTV USA, which covers the Washington D.C. area including Virginia and Maryland, reported that 62,000 out of 300,000 missing immigrant children have been rescued from human trafficking rings since the start of Trump's second term.
Some interpret this development as a consequence of increased public awareness regarding the sexual exploitation of minors and human trafficking, spurred by the Jeffrey Epstein case.
